About Sandy Baumann

Sandy Baumann, M.S., is a gifted speaker who draws upon her training in biochemistry, 18 years in health promotion, and personal life experiences to offer insightful and informative articles, tapes, and books. As a born storyteller, Sandy specializes in thought-provoking, life-changing, interactive presentations in common-sense language about how you can improve memory, learning, stress management, and work performance with regular nutrition and simple lifestyle changes.




Sandy has spoken to over 300 organizations ranging from businesses, schools, and health facilities to women's groups, senior agencies, and colleges. She is the author of Feed Your Brain for Learning and Feed Your Brain for Memory.

With a master's degree in biochemistry from Michigan State University, Sandy is a health writer for the Observer/Eccentric newspapers and for Quality Lifestyle magazine, a periodical for older adults. She also teaches professional development classes for teachers, RNs, and LPNs at Henry Ford Community College, as well as personal health classes at Schoolcraft College. For 12 years, Sandy directed Generations at Botsford, a hospital-based health promotion department that served 30,000 older adults. In other capacities, she was senior editor of Student Assistance Journal, and an adjunct instructor of chemistry and biochemistry at University of Michigan-Dearborn and Madonna University.
